Bridge #282-0.97 is in need of replacement as the existing concrete box beams are deteriorating. Based on a public involvement meeting during the spring of 2017 the Warren County Engineer has decided to move forward with a bridge relocation upstream of the existing crossing. The new bridge will be a two span steel girder bridge that will accommodate vehicles, pedestrians, and bikes. The project will include road improvements to the bridge approaches and provide a grade separation between Grandin Road and the Little Miami Scenic Trail. The total project cost is currently estimated at $10,000,000. The project construction will be funded by federal Local Bridge Replacement funds, local funds from the Warren County Engineer, and possibly other federal and state funds. The project is currently being designed by Stantec Consulting Services and the design is funded by the Warren County Engineer. The project construction is tentatively scheduled for 2022. The bridge is located on King Avenue over the Little Miami River along the Deerfield and Hamilton Township Line.
